Performance Modifications

The best way to real performace gains is to lose weight, the Y10 is very well equiped as a luxury small car, with electric windows and very heavy sound deadening, and therefor a lot of weight can be removed, the lighter it gets, the faster it goes...

Bonnet Vents

For a cooler inlet charge a bonnet or wing mounted air intake could be fitted close to the air filter, I first saw this mod on Peter Dietsch's Y10, although Peter's is more of a cosmetic modification it should still give a cooler inlet charge.

  

Cosmetic Modifications

Below are a number of cosmetic modifications I have seen on a few Y10s in the past.

Mesh Grill

Another modification I first saw on Peter D's Car, It' s a quite a simple job, simply take your standard grill, remove the chrome surround by bending open the small hooks on the reverse, cut out all the plastic slats and reassamble grill with mesh in between the plastic and the chrome surround.
